Healthy Teeth, Healthy Future: Dental Screening Project for Children Aged 3-5

As Istanbul Kent University Dental Hospital and Istanbul Kent University Faculty of Dentistry, in collaboration with Beyoğlu Municipality, the Healthy Teeth, Healthy Future Dental Screening project was conducted for children aged 3-5 in 11 of our Nursery Schools affiliated with the municipality between November 18-22, 2024.

Instilling health habits at an early age is crucial for children to lead a healthy life. Dental health is at the forefront of these habits. Children aged 3-5 are entering a critical period in the development of their teeth. Early dental screenings are extremely important for protecting oral health and preventing potential problems.

What is Our Project?

The “Healthy Teeth, Healthy Future” project is a social responsibility initiative aimed at protecting the dental health of children aged 3-5 at an early age. Through this project, we will provide children with accurate information about dental health and raise awareness among families about dental screenings.

Project Scope:

Dental Screening: Children's dental health was evaluated through screenings by expert dentists.

Oral and Dental Health Education: Teachers and children were informed about proper care, tooth brushing habits, and ways to protect dental health.

Dental Health Awareness: By highlighting the importance of dental health at an early age, the project contributed to the development of a dental care culture in the community.

Why is it Important?

The age of 3-5 is a critical period for children's dental health. Early dental screenings play an important role in preventing tooth decay and oral diseases. Growing up with healthy teeth enhances both the physical health and self-confidence of children.

With this social responsibility project, Istanbul Kent University Dental Hospital and Istanbul Kent University Faculty of Dentistry aim to ensure that every child steps into the future with healthy teeth.
